After serving 30 years as a first responder—much of it working nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-outs—I learned something simple:

The people who keep the world running after dark deserve better coffee.

Night after night, I watched first responders, dispatchers, healthcare professionals, security personnel, truck drivers, utility crews, and countless other shift workers rely on whatever coffee happened to be available. Most of the time, it was stale, burnt, or forgettable.

When I retired, I decided to build the company I wished existed during my own career.

That's how Grave Shift Coffee & Tea was born.
